Differential expression of immune receptors in pediatric Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL)

Abstract Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) represents the most common pediatric cancer. Significant improvements in chemotherapy regimens caused a leap 5-year survival rates to surpass 90%. However, relapse significantly lowers chances of less than 50% some cases due resistance developed by malignant cells chemotherapy. Natural Killer (NK) are promising immunotherapy alternative for their ability recognize and kill directly through activation or inhibition signals cytokine release. We have previously identified 2B4 (SLAMF4), CS1 (SLAMF7) LLT1 that can activate inhibit NK upon interaction with ligands. In this study, expression 2B4, CS1, LLT1, NKp30 NKp46 was determined ALL healthy subjects. Whole blood collected from 42 subjects before after induction surface receptors/ligand on T-cells, B-cells, monocytes, NK-cells compared samples 20 The flow cytometry data showed significant increase monocytes T treatment. A decrease T-cells also observed treatment along elevated subjects’ Furthermore, mRNA altered receptors pre post results indicate differential may play role cell NK-cell mediated immune surveillance ALL.
